Blackpool Tramway miscellenea

First-generation trams were replaced throughout the rest of the country by motor buses, but in Blackpool trams and buses run side-by side as part of the same network. The number 1 bus route parallels the tramway between Cleveleys and Starr Gate, continuing south to St. Annes, and is the preserve of elderly Leyland Olympians—in this view 404 and 405 pass Little Bispham tram stop. While the trams carry different variations of the Metro Coastlines livery, seemingly at random, the buses carry versions which are specific to the route they run on: route 1 buses carry this yellow and orange version
