Bilston Central is in the brick-lined former Great Western Railway cutting in the centre of the town. It is not on the site of the former Bilston Central station—this was a short distance to the south of the tram stop. The Platforms here are staggered, with the Snow Hill platform being further north than the Wolverhampton platform.
