These two railway platforms serve the line to/from Leeds and York via Rotherham, while away to the left another two platforms are for trains to/from Huddersfield and Leeds via Barnsley. In the background is the M1 Tinsley Viaduct and the still-standing cooling towers of the otherwise demolished Blackburn Meadows Power Station
