Docklands Light Railway : Pictures : London City Airport extension
The London City Airport route to King George V opened on 2nd December 2005. These are some pictures taken along the route, of trains, stations and the route itself, on the following day.

The end of the line. This is the northern portal of the tunnel under the Thames to Woolwich Arsena, seen in August 2008. Although the tunnel is complete, services did not start for another four months, and at the time trains continued to terminate at King Georfe V station, behind the camera
