Looking west from Shadwell station, towards Tower Gateway and Bank. The viaduct is shared between Tower Gateway with two National Rail tracks (the London, Tilbury and Southend line from Fenchurch Street), and is supplimented at Shadwell and station to accommodate the island platform. In the distance, the masts supporting the main line railway Overhead Line Equipment can be seen spanning the DLR tracks—the full four-track formation was in use by main line trains until construction of the DLR began
