Station sign. This one is mounted to the side of the viaduct—at other stations the sign is typically double-sided and mounted on a pole

Enamel line diagram sign, design based on similar diagrams at London Underground stations. Only services from this station (Island Gardens in this case) are shown, so the line to Beckton is not shown. As Island Gardens is part of the Lewisham extension, built and maintained by the concessionnaire CGL Rail, their logo appears on the sign as well as the DLR roundel

The original standard station platform name signs have been replaced with the current TfL-standard design. However at Bank some older cast metal platform name signs remain. This displays the original DLR standard typeface, which was used on vehicles, signage and literature, 'Rockwell'

Two outdated styles of signage togther at Canary Wharf. This sign, at the street entrance on South Collonade, demonstrates the original 'Rockwell' typeface (the 'Canary Wharf' part) and a more recent DLR logotype, now replaced with the TfL standard DLR roundel

Obsolete style at Bank—this typeface, 'Rockwell', has been replaced as the standard DLR typeface by TfL's 'New Johnston' as used on buses and the London Underground

The Lewisham extension, from Mudchute to Lewisham, was financed, designed and built by a concessionnaire, CGL Rail, who also maintain the infrastructure. Each station from Island Gardens south displays an 'ownership' sign, in what was at the time of construction the current DLR style but bearing the CGL Rail logo

DLR enamel network map at Blackwall station. As is common practice on London Underground, the City Airport extension is shown, but should be concealed (usually by a piece of white vinyl) until the line is opened. However, this is not the case with this map, resulting in the rather premature indication of a service to Woolwich Arsenal, construction of which has only just begun

Remnants of the original railway signage and design style are few and far between, but can be found—this is a staff telephone on the platform at Tower Gateway

London Undergound-style DLR enamel route map, showing the new City Airport extension. The line under the river to Woolwich Arsenal is also shown as under construction, on a sticker which will be removed on opening to show the line as operational
