Every winter the Blackpool illuminations bring thousands of visitors to the seaside resort. The best way to see the lights is from an open-top tram, and enhanced services run until late at night to carry sightseers along the prom.
These pictures were taken during the 2006 and 2007 lights. The 2007 pictures were taken on the last day of the illuminations, which was also the final day of service for the trams before the line was shut for four months for track renewal.
