Snow Hill railway station was reopened in 1987, a new building on the site of the former Great Western Railway station. The tram stop occupies a space next to the city end of platform 3, at the end of what was platform 4—the tram line has replaced the railway track that once served platform 4. Interchange is possible here to train services to Birmingham Moor Street, Stourbridge, Solihull, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Banbury and London Marylebone.

The unlovely northern aspect of Snow Hill station, showing the car park built over the station. The tram line, single track at this point, is on the left; on the right are the main line platforms
Looking south at Snow Hill tram stop; tram 12 waits to depart for Wolverhampton. After leaving the platforms, the tram will join a short section of single track as it runs through the rest of the station. The tram stop is in the open air, but the main part of the main line platforms is under cover
