Sheffield Supertram : Pictures : lineone at Weekday Cross

The southern portal of the former Great Central Railway tunnel under Weekday Cross to what was Victoria station, recently cleared of foliage. The pipes seen entering the tunnel carry steam from the waste incenerator next to the Midland railway line to the flats above the Victoria Centre (built on the site of Victoria station) for heating. On the left is Middle Hill, along which run the tram lines towards Lace Market and Old Market Square
