Nunnery Square stop is on the reserved track Meadowhall route, located on former railway land. Next to the stop, between the tramway and the Sheffield-Worksop-Cleethorpes railway line, is Nunnery depot. This stop was originally open only as a staff halt for the depot, but now serves as a park and ride stop.
