The line either side of Weaste tram stop runs along Eccles New Road, but the stop itself is on a section of reserved track. The Eccles line stop is next to the former Salford City Transport's Weaste tramshed. This passed as a bus depot to SELNEC and Greater Manchester Transport, who closed it in 1986. There are plans to develop it as an apartment block.

Weaste tram stop is next to Weaste bus garage. This depot opened in 1929 as a Salford City Transport (SCT) tram shed, transferred to SELNEC in 1969 then Greater Manchester Transport (GMT) in 1974, and was closed in January 1986. Where the GMT brown paint is peeling off one of the Bolton gates, SCT green paint is visible
