Crossharbour serves a mix of residential and business areas, and is next to a large supermarket. Between 1994 and 2006 the station was named Crossharbour & London Arena as it also served the London Arena, a major concert and entertainment venue which is now closed.
Some trains terminate here, and there is a reversing siding to the south of the station.
