Moor Bridge is on the single track section between Bulwell and Hucknall. There is a passing loop here. This is close to Nottingham's city boundary, which is historically the terminus of Nottingham City Transport bus services. NCT bus services have been cut back slightly with the opening of the tram stop.
The platform at Moor Bridge, looking south towards the city. The adjacent Robin Hood railway line is double-track at this point—the second track is used as a passing loop here, and diverges some distance north of the tram stop to form the branch to Calverton Colliery, now out of use following the colliery's closure in 1999
