This stop is at the southern end of the stretch of reserved track on the former Great Central Railway alignment through Wilford and Compton Acres, where the trackbed crosses Ruddington Lane.

The bridge carrying Rudddington Lane over the alignment has been removed and replaced with an embankment—the road here will be lowered and will cross the tramway at a level crossing. In the distance can be seen an industrial unit which encroaches on the alignment and will need to be partially demolished
