This stop will form part of an ambitious project to create a new transport interchange at the side of Nottingham Midland Station. The tram line will travel over the top of the station on a new viaduct following the route taken by the Great Central Railway's viaduct, with a stop above the main line railway platforms. This stop will replace the existing Line One terminus at Station Street
